X-Star Premium First Flight Part 2

This was the first flight of the Autel Robotics X-Star Premium with Beginner Mode off. The winds picked up as a storm was moving in so I knew it wasn’t going to be ideal conditions,, but I still had to get it in the air. This time I tested out the Max Height and it went to 388ft.

This morning I launched the X-Star at the house and it did okay, but just not too much to see. Well, other than me having a major freak out thinking I had broken the gimbal somehow. So…. Yeah, that was just me not taking the gimbal lock off before launching. So key lesson, make sure that you do a thorough preflight check.

Then I did make my way over to the golf course (away from the golfers of corse) just to get a few different views before the rain moved in. As the winds kicked up the drone fought to stay in position and did a pretty good job. You couldn’t tell from the video that it was fighting hard at all.
